What is E-commerce?

E-commerce, or selling over the Internet, is a market that has been around since 1996 and has gone through various stages of maturity. We are now in an era in which e-commerce is relatively easy to realize technically, back office systems are well integrated and where consumers are used to ordering online. At the same time, we are also seeing an enormous increase in the amount of data and the number of systems in which this data is stored.
