Learning goals BI Organization
This module pays attention to all relevant themes in the field of Business Intelligence and the organization. Which performance measures have the greatest impact on your organization's strategy and objectives? Which people and processes have the greatest impact on achieving the business goals? How can we make better use of the knowledge in the organization and develop new knowledge? The participant pays ample attention to these themes.
 
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:

the participant is able to recognize opportunities for his / her organization with the help of the “Business Intelligence map

the participant is able to translate opportunities from a customer, competition, regulation, economic, technical, political and social perspective into specific organizational objectives

the participant is able to translate organizational objectives into specific business intelligence and data capabilities for the realization of a data-driven organization

the participant can determine per capability which data tasks and responsibilities are required

the participant is able to determine the correct competence set on the basis of identified tasks and responsibilities

the participant is able to design an effective onboarding process so that a data team connects with managers and employees within the organization in an inspiring and energetic way

Learning objectives BI (Big) Data Analytics & Visualization
An analysis process consists on the one hand of the (visual) data analysis and on the other hand of the visual communication of the results. In other words: how can gathered data be visualized in a correct but above all effective way for the gathering of insights; for yourself and / or for communicating findings effectively to the rest of your organization.
 
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:

the participant is able to choose the most suitable data analysis method from a selection of methods; he / she understands which methods apply to which situations;

the participant is able to apply these methods for analyzing data;

the participant chooses the most suitable visualization for displaying the results of his / her data analyzes;

the participant knows how to present different graphs together in a dashboard

Learning objectives BI Operational: Roles & processes, sources & tools
To be able to create effective BI solutions, multiple BI expertise are required, each of which contributes to the completion of BI processes. BI roles & processes are directly linked to the BI resources & tools available within an organization.
 
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:

the participant is able to name the interaction between BI roles, processes, sources and tools;

the participant knows how his own organization can best facilitate this;

the participant is able to determine the correct set of competences on the basis of identified tasks and responsibilities

the participant is able to design an on-boarding process through which a data team establishes an inspiring and energetic connection with managers and employees within the organization

the participant is able to effectively design and support source & tool selection processes

Learning objectives BI & Agile working
Business Intelligence teams often have multiple responsibilities, such as keeping the BI environment available and manageable, participating in projects, BI analysis and developing and implementing changes to the BI environment. Agile working helps prioritize incidents and urgent questions they need, in addition to the time it takes to answer regular questions and implement change requests.
 
The module will focus on the following learning objectives:

the participant knows the basic principles that underlie Agile working;

the participant knows the difference between Scrum, Kanban and Lean and knows in which situations these methods can best be applied;

Based on the situation within their own organization, the participant has designed a Scrum or Kanban board that fits the current BI situation

the participant has drawn up his own BI activities backlog which can be planned with the help of what has been learned;

the participant is able to specify the preconditions within his own BI organization that are necessary for Agile working;

the participant knows how he / she can transfer what has been learned in his / her own organization (teach the teacher)
