This is the single named user license that has no restrictions. In concrete terms, this means that the following functionalities are offered:

• Perform analyzes via QlikView server for unlimited number of documents
• Run analytics on a standalone PC
• Designer : Creating and customizing the user interface
• Development : Create and modify data cloud via AQL

The Named User CAL can be set so that the end user only has viewing rights, but can also be set for the so-called “power user” where the end user can also develop (design & development).

A document CAL entitles one named user to access one specific QlikView document to perform analysis. When the user has opened a document, the user/document combination is kept on the QlikView server. Analyzes can only be performed via the QlikViewServer. The minimum purchase for a Small Business Server is 10 Document CALs and for an Enterprise Edition Server the minimum is 100 Document CALs. Subsequent orders are per 10 Document CALs. The Document CAL can be upgraded to a Named User CAL.

The Session CAL allows unlimited use of QlikView documents for an unlimited number of users, but 1 simultaneously per Session Cal! This CAL is mainly used to support large groups of non-regular users. For example, one session CAL can support about 10 infrequent users. The Session CAL can only be used with a QlikView Enterprise Edition Server.

The Usage CAL principle is yet another way to support a large group of non-regular users. A Usage CAL entitles a user to open one session every 28 calendar days at one QlikView document to be analyzed for a maximum period of one hour. When exceeding one hour, a second Usage CAL is automatically consumed.

QlikView Extranet Server empowers organizations to create interactive QlikView to publish applications behind the firewall. This solution therefore gives you the opportunity to provide actors outside your organization with interactive management dashboards. Think, for example, of customers and/or suppliers. 5 Extranet Session CALs is always required (minimum)
