Qlik OData Connector
Accessing datasets via the Microsoft OpenData Protocol
With the Qlik OData Connector allows you to open a large number of datasets via the Microsoft OpenData Protocol (OData).
OData is an OASIS standard that allows you to access RESTful APIs to stream data hosted on websites or other web applications into your Qlikapps.
De Qlik OData Connector is part of Qlik Web Connectors - a comprehensive suite of preconfigured connectors for major social media and web-based data sources.
OData (Open Data Protocol) is a standard started by Microsoft so that data can be accessed through websites in a consistent manner.
Many websites and platforms support OData, some of which are unloaded from the official OData website. This makes a large number of datasets available for consumption, which can now be easily streamed to QlikView with the OData Connector, including locally installed installations of Sharepoint 2010, which you can read more about here.
You can access the following datasets using the Qlik OData Connector:
- Websites that make their data available using the OData protocol.
- Data stored on SharePoint server 2010 or 2013.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM data hosted locally.
