Can a website place unsolicited cookies and how does Victa do this?

Websites must ask visitors for permission to place cookies. Cookies are small text files that websites place on your computer, mobile phone or tablet after your visit. The cookie law makes an exception for cookies that are not privacy-sensitive. For example for cookies that keep track of visitor numbers. Not all cookies require permission.

Which cookies do we use?

How can I turn off the cookies?

Disabling cookies only affects the computer and browser on which you perform this action. If you use multiple computers and / or browsers, you must repeat this operation as often as necessary.

Delete cookies

Delete cookies in Internet Explorer
Go to the menu Tools> Internet options> General. Under Browsing history, click Delete. You may not want to delete everything. Make sure that Cookies is checked and click Delete.

Delete cookies in Firefox
Go to Tools> Options> Privacy. Click Clear your recent history. Under Details you can indicate exactly what you want to delete. In any case, tick Cookies. You can also indicate how old the cookies should be. Select 'Everything' here.

Delete cookies in Chrome
Click on the icon with 3 lines at the top right. Click Tools> Clear browsing data. In any case, make sure that 'Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data' is checked. You can also indicate how old the cookies should be. Select 'Everything' here.

Delete cookies in Safari
Click on the radar icon at the top right. Click on preferences, go to “Privacy” and click on “Remove All Website Data”. You can also click on “Details” and delete selected data.
