Bouman GGZ, with more than 850 employees, is the largest mental health care institution in the Netherlands, specializing in addiction psychiatry. The institution provides its services at more than fifty locations in the South Holland South region, spread over the municipalities of Rotterdam, Schiedam, Vlaardingen, Dordrecht, Leerdam, Gorinchem and Spijkenisse. In addition to the treatment of addicts, she is also involved in education about the dangers of drug and excessive alcohol use.

At the end of 2005, Bouman GGZ immediately faced highly compartmentalized information management. “The Planning & Control and Finance departments provided managers who requested this information from our financial system (Decade). The Personnel & Organization department supplied data from our HRM system (Beaufort) and the Healthcare information department provided data from our care system (User).
